About Us

Firetower Animal Clinic strives to provide the best veterinary care, urgent care, bathing and grooming possible for pets in the Greenville and Winterville communities.
Firetower Animal Clinic was founded by Dr. Mark T. Hayes, who also founded Tenth Street Animal Hospital in 1987. Founded in 2002 by Dr. Mark Hayes as a satellite clinic for 10th Street Animal Hospital, Firetower Animal Clinic has grown and expanded twice in 9 years, initially staffed and managed by Dr. Brad Medhus and Dr. Erin Hubbard.
The clinic is now owned by Dr. Mark T. Hayes, Dr. Bradley Medhus and Dr. Anne Eldridge, who also own Tenth Street Animal Hosptial, Four Paws Inn, and Animal Hospital of Pitt County.
At Firetower Animal Clinic, our staff treats you like family and each pet like our own. We are honored and proud to be a partner in your pet's healthcare team. As pet owners ourselves, we believe that preventative care with wellness exams are the keys to your pet living a longer, healthier, and happier life.
As a full-service veterinary office, we offer state-of-the-art testing and diagnostics, routine and advanced surgical procedures, and many other specialties and services to provide your pet with the best possible care.
We welcome new patients to our office and look forward to meeting you and your pet.

As an American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) accredited facility, Firetower Animal Clinic regularly undergoes evaluations to ensure that we meet or exceed AAHA's standards of care.
These standards cover nearly every aspect of our hospital, including surgery, exam facilities, patient care, cleanliness, client service, emergency services, diagnostic imaging, and anesthesiology. Only 15% of animal hospitals in the United States and Canada are accredited by AAHA, which is recognized worldwide as the benchmark for quality care in veterinary medicine.
